The Voice of Daughters

Writer: Diane CoryDiane Cory

Portions of this blog were pulled from one of my journal entries in 2007.

The women’s march held last year in November of 2016 was a real eye opener. We heard women’s voices raised. Unfortunately, the sound and visuals coming forth that day were on the perverse, profane, angry and demanding side. The news media claimed it to be a true representation of women in the United States who have felt marginalized. Through some of the interviews; it was obvious that many of the women attending didn’t even know why they were there. The ones that did, seemed so angry and lost to me. I felt sad for them! Most of you know what I am referring to. If you don’t, you can go on YouTube and receive an ear/eye full: https://youtu.be/rp1FyjB8WXQ

In contrast, Sarah Palin is currently holding “Moms” marches throughout the US. Palin was governor of Alaska from 2006 to 2009, and her 2008 bid for vice president helped spark the Tea Party movement. She has been a controversial figure in politics and the media; partly because of her vocal Christian beliefs. Along with Sarah in this Mom march movement, is Candy Carson, wife of Dr. Ben Carson, the secretary of HUD and a strong believer in Christ.

The purpose of the Moms march is to reach the mothers of America; especially the young mothers who still have children at home, and to help them realize their powerful influence in their homes, their communities, and our nation. The idea is to draw attention to the value of motherhood in a culture where women are encouraged to outsource their children so they can quote “Be Fulfilled.” That is another subject for another day.

Back to the Moms march – This march will be in my city, Omaha, Nebraska on September 23rd. For those of you who live near Omaha and wish more information on it, here is the link: http://momsmarchusa.com/.

These two marches show the extreme tension that lies between God’s legitimate desire to raise up women; and the enemies scheme to counterfeit God’s voice. Furthermore, use women who don’t know that they are daughters of the King.

Several years ago, a major news source reported that two separate women within a care facility in the Midwest had regained their voices after three years in silence. One of the women was reported as having suffered head and internal injuries from a traffic accident. The other was thought to have had Lou Gehrig ‘s disease. Both cases were said to be miracles! This act in the natural is a picture of God’s ability and desire to restore the Voice of His Daughters in the spiritual.

A restoration of the voice of God’s daughters is coming. Even throughout the 60s and seventies God longed to release that voice. However, just like today, a false and counterfeit voice rose up and came forth, which was called, the Women’s Liberation Movement. From my early teens, I remember that false voice very well – I wasn’t a Christian daughter then. However, I must have been one in waiting because I knew it was off somehow. Watching angry women burning their personal items seemed pretty purposeless to me, even as a young girl.

God is coming around again to release the sound of His true daughters for such a time as this. There is a key which will be passed in heaven – through the hands of the Father to unlock the chains that keeps His daughters bound. We will witness daughters birthing this voice that will be fully recognized as God’s voice; that which breaks injustice, racism, abortion and the trafficking of children.

Women will come forth to take their places on the front lines, forming Companies of Women to speak forth life and freedom. The voice of God’s daughters will resound from women who have been hidden and sidelined for years. Those who have never been seen or heard from will come forth. The ones who have been given to prayer and intercession in the secret places will be revealed. They are women who have desired only to know God’s heart and go after Him.

Vocal cords will be loosed among God’s daughters in the marketplace, among the poor, among the nations and among the houses of God. The voice of the alabaster box will pour forth fresh anointing that wipes the feet of Jesus in every syllable. Many Deborah voices will arise. A fresh teaching and preaching voice will emerge on the front lines from the young to the seasoned women of faith.

The Company of Women is even now standing along-side the body of Christ in power and authority to tear down strongholds. This Company of women will emerge as the Daughters of Zelophehad in Numbers 27. They will have the total and complete backing of the Father as well as an inheritance in the kingdom. In Numbers 27:7 Moses speaks on behalf of God, “The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: they shall be given possession of the inheritance among their father’s brethren; and they shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass onto them.”

May this be so! God, release the inheritance of your daughters according to Psalm 68:11… “The Lord gives the command; The women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host (company).”

The enemy is always waiting in the wings with a counterfeit. We should not be surprised to see it. The Lord gave me a word in 2007 that a counterfeit women’s voice would come forth in government claiming wisdom and truth on behalf of other women. This woman would say she knows the Father; yet be far from Him and His ways. This is exactly what we saw happen in the last election.

As I am writing this, I wondered if the voice of the daughter is the church. Women in the bible often represented Christ’s bride. Could it be that God is really saying that He will give the church back its voice in our culture as we turn to Him; and begin to preach and teach the kingdom?

There is one more thing I wish to say here. This movement of women must parallel the rise of God’s men from their slumber. I see fathers, sons, and warriors awakening, putting on their armor and taking their place as leaders in the marketplace and in their homes. There is courage being discharged for men to release women and stand side by side in what is going to be the churches finest hour. The motto, “United we stand, divided we fall!” has some truth in it. It’s an echo of Mark 3:25, “If a house is divided, it cannot stand.”
