One facet is that of a “Pioneer”. There is a pioneering spirit within His heart that I love tugging upon.
He loves to take new land and start new ministries through His people; going where no man has gone before.
Taking a prophetic idea and creating something with God that advances His kingdom upon the earth is so awesome.
Without the pioneering spirit of God, we can’t advance the kingdom …
A few years ago, I became obsessed with the story of the Lewis and Clark expedition (1804-1806); “The Corps of Discovery Expedition” was their team name. What they did is so prophetic to us today.
According to Webster’s, a pioneer is, “a member of a military unit: a person or group that originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity or a new method or technical development: one of the first to settle in a territory.”
In other words, a pioneer has fresh vision to move out and to take new territory; stake a claim and declare ahead of time, those things that aren’t as though they were. They take seed and plant it where God wants to bring a harvest.
The pioneer sees in advance what God wants to do. When Apostle and Prophets work together, they are pulling on God’s pioneering spirit. I love how Ryan LeStrange puts it,
“Many times Prophets are misunderstood because they are speaking something long before others are coming into the revelation. This is a vital part of their ministry gifting. Nothing is created in the spirit realm without words. Prophetic words are filled with power, light (divine illumination), and creativity.”
The prophet sees the land that needs to be taken and the Apostle moves and acts upon what the prophet sees-Pioneers.
Prophets receive the plans, and the blueprints of God well before the rest of the body. They are forerunners who go ahead and open new doors for the church to walk through.
I remember in the late 1990s when God was using prophets like Cindy Jacobs to open the door to prophetic intersession and prayer in the church. Her book, “Possessing the Gates of the Enemy” was one of the very few books found on prophetic prayer, intercession and warfare.
Now, you can find whole sections in the bookstores dedicated to prayer and intercession. Lou Engle, Chuck Pierce, Dutch and Tim Sheets, Wesley Campbell and Cindy Jacobs are prophets who pioneered in that movement.
John Paul Jackson pioneered dream interpretation and made a way for others to understand how God speaks to them in their sleep.
I love prophets like Patricia King, Jamie Galloway and Stacy Campbell who are pioneers in prophetic outreach.
Anna Roundtree is pioneering in the realms of heaven; God is using her to pull back the veil so His people can have a glimpse of what heaven is like.
Shawn Bolz is pioneering a New Testament Covenant prophetic movement.
It is the pioneering Spirit of God that is going forth in this hour and He is gathering those who aren’t afraid of the future and the unknown. It is the perfect season for God’s people to step out; exploring new avenues and ways of taking ground for God and then keeping it.
The kingdom of heaven is at hand-God is calling forth brave sons and daughters to step out as spiritual pioneers; acting on His behalf to seek out new ways of loving a lost and dying world.
