Buy low and sell high.” These were the words of”encouragement God spoke to me several years ago through my eldest son.
God was talking directly to my identity as a prophetic voice within the body. This word not only affirmed my calling and gifting, but it gave me a glimpse into God’s heart in the area of personal prophecy.
Finances are not one of my strengths, but I do know the meaning of the stock market term, “buy low, and sell high.”
Buy low – sell high denotes the stock market is trading sideways or stocks are a bit out of favor. When that happens, it’s easy to purchase them at a low cost.
Without looking very far, and then just waiting, before long the market corrects and you can double your money in the process.
In other words, to receive the best financial outcome, you buy stock in a company when it is at its lowest point while essentially seeing its potential to thrive and do well in the future market.
This is a great example of what personal prophecy is like.
Jesus (The Prophet) bought us when we were at our lowest – while seeing our full potential in Him He spoke life into us by purchasing us with His blood.
The same principle applies when a farmer buys a bag of seed. He puts tiny round kernels into the ground seeing the large potential of what this small seed can produce in a crop.
Prophetic words are like identity seeds meant to be sown into the hearts of others for the purpose of encouraging the church to become a powerful playing field for God to advance His kingdom upon the earth.
I Corinthians 14:3 says, “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.” I love unpacking the meaning behind this verse and exploring the many ways God wants to speak to us today.
Isaiah 55:10-11a says, “Water the earth and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater. So, shall My word be that goes forth from my mouth: It shall not return to me void.”
So! … Let the Sowing Begin.
