Father God, give me an undivided heart and let me see You and You alone as my deliver. The Father has been speaking to me about His desire and ability to deliver us from anything that weighs us down and holds us in bondage. He wants us in turn to point others to Jesus, our deliver. A few years ago I had an encounter with God where I was able to look back and watch the moment of my birth. I was born at home because my mother was unable to get to the hospital in time. In this encounter, I was able to see my parents bedroom and it’s furnishings: my mother was laying on her bed. Suddenly, a man with a beard appeared at the foot of the bed. His eyes were like flames of fire and He was dressed in a white robe. There was light following Him. I can’t fully explain this figure of a man standing at the foot of her bed. But, I clearly recognized Him as the man Jesus. His hands reached down and received the head of a baby; pulling it out of my mother’s womb. I realized it was me! He didn’t say anything, but I heard the words in my head, “I AM YOUR DELIVERER!"

This encounter has greatly impacted me over the years. When I am in need of breakthrough and deliverance from moments of anxiety, insecurity, relational hurts and just the burdens of life, I’m reminded of the One who attended my birth and has delivered me. I am reminded that Jesus is the source of my identity as a righteous daughter of the most high God.
I am also reminded that Jesus came to establish His kingdom on earth through us, (Mark 1:15). He will return to restore all things and complete all things, (Revelation 21:5). The kingdom is meant to be established through a prophetic people who know who they are and know their deliverer. He delivers us so we can share the deliverer with a lost and dying world. In Luke four, Jesus is asked to take the scroll and read Isaiah 61:1-5, which tells us why He loves to deliver us:
“The mighty Spirit of Lord is wrapped around me because He has anointed me, as a messenger to preach good news to the poor. He sent me to heal the wounds of the brokenhearted, to tell captives, “You are free,” and to tell prisoners, “Be free from your darkness. I am sent to announce a new season of Yahweh’s grace and a time of God’s recompense on his enemies, to comfort all who are in sorrow, to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn in Zion—to give them a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Because of this, they will be known as, mighty oaks of righteousness planted by Yahweh as a living display of His glory. They will restore the ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations.Foreigners will be appointed to shepherd your many flocks; strangers will cultivate your fields and tend your vines.”
If you are struggling today, just know that He has already delivered you. He wants to love us into this amazing reality, "I AM YOUR DELIVERER". He wants us to walk in this truth and lead others through the womb of salvation and into His deliverance too.
